About

We study chemical reactivity at surfaces. This type of research contributes to the  development of better catalysts and Green Chemistry processes, and to the design of assembled nanostructures. It is also an exciting avenue to explore fundamental issues in surface reaction dynamics. The 2007 Nobel Prize in chemistry was awarded to Gerhard Ertl for his work on chemical reactions on surfaces. Our group forms part of the Centre in Green Chemistry and Catalysis (CCVC) and the Centre for Research on Interfaces and Catalysis (CERPIC).
